CartelChat Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Graphics Cartel processes information when you use the CartelChat application, website, and related services.Information you provide
We process information you provide when using CartelChat, including your email address, username, display name, profile information, messages, comments, uploaded photos, videos, audio and files, community information, credit and transaction records, reports, and communications with support.
Device and service information
We may process push-notification tokens, app version, device platform, security and diagnostic events, feature usage needed to operate the service, and an approximate country derived from an internet address. CartelChat does not request your precise location or contacts.
How we use information
We use information to authenticate users, deliver chats and notifications, host user content, operate community and credit features, prevent abuse and fraud, review safety reports, moderate content, provide support, maintain service security, and comply with applicable legal obligations.
Service providers
CartelChat uses service providers such as Supabase for authentication, databases, server functions, and file storage. Google, Firebase, Expo, Cloudflare, or related services may support Android notifications, application delivery, security, and website hosting. These providers process information according to their applicable terms and privacy policies.
Information visible to other users
Your public profile information, public posts, reactions, comments, and community listings may be visible to other users and visitors. Private messages and restricted content are intended only for authorized users, subject to moderation, security operations, and lawful access where required.
Safety, reports, and moderation
When a user submits a safety report, we may preserve relevant report details and content evidence so administrators can investigate the issue, prevent abuse, enforce our rules, and comply with law. Reports are not displayed publicly.
Post-media retention
Text posts do not expire under CartelChat’s standard media-retention policy. Unless the owner buys Keep Forever before expiry, media in a new single-photo post, photo-album post, or video post is stored for 30 days from publication and then automatically deleted. The post may then become unavailable. Keep Forever removes this routine 30-day media expiry for that post, but does not prevent deletion by the owner, account deletion, moderation, legal requirements, technical failure, or discontinuation of the service.
Chat-media retention
Photos, videos, audio, and files sent in direct chats, group chats, Saved Messages, and media attached to group announcements are stored for 30 days and then automatically deleted. Message text and the conversation history may remain with a notice that the media expired. Saving, copying, or forwarding chat media does not extend its original expiry. Users should download anything they need before it expires. Chat media has no Keep Forever option.
Other retention and deletion
We otherwise retain information while it is needed to provide the service, maintain security, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and satisfy applicable legal requirements. Users may request account deletion inside the app or through our public Account Deletion page. Limited transaction, fraud-prevention, dispute, or safety records and relevant evidence may be retained privately when reasonably required by law or legitimate security needs, including after media is no longer shown to users.
Security
We use access controls and encrypted network connections designed to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Users should never share passwords, recovery codes, private signing keys, or unnecessary sensitive information in chats.
Children
CartelChat is intended only for users aged 18 and older. Contact us immediately if you believe a minor has created an account or that content may involve child exploitation or endangerment.
Your choices
You can update profile information and privacy controls in the app, block or report users, and request access, correction, or deletion by contacting CartelChat Support.
